Powdered Activated Carbon

Activated Carbon is a premium activity adsorbent manufactured using chemical activation (phosphoric acid) of select grades of wood. This material has a predominantly macroporous structure for efficient diffusion and effective adsorption of high molecular weight organic substances in liquid phase decolorization applications. The chemical activation process produces an adsorbent with a surface pH designed to maximize decolorization performance. Strict control of the particle size is used to optimize adsorption kinetics and assist with efficient filtration

Features and Benefits

  1. Chemical activation (phosphoric acid)
  2. Premium activity adsorbent
  3. Predominantly macroporous
  4. Low mineral ash content
  5. Stringent pH specification
  6. Strictly controlled particle size

Typical Applications

  1. Hydrolysed vegetable protein (HVP)
  2. Phosphoric acid production processes
  3. Manufacture of industrial acids
  4. Wine industry (codex)
  5. Fruit (apple, grape, date) juices
  6. Yeast extracts
  7. Acetic, citric, lactic, phtalic acids
  8. Alcoholic beverage
